WORSHIP
We acknowledge that Jehovah is the only true and living God. Being God he is all powerful and we acknowledge that he is the creator of the universe as well as the giver and sustainer of life. Being the creator makes God alone the one who is worthy of our worship.
Our worship is offered to him according to his instructions revealed to us in his word. Jesus defines the true worshipper for us (John 4:23-24). The true worshipper will worship God in spirit and truth. If we are to worship in accordance with truth we must submit to the will of God revealed in his word (John 17:17).
In the truth there is a revealed pattern that we must follow in order to worship God acceptably just as Abel offered by faith what was pleasing to God but Cain did not (Hebrews 11:4). It is our desire to only offer what will be pleasing to the Lord. These articles will provide an examination of this pattern. Following truth is very important, but we must also have the proper attitude toward the worship we offer to God. It must always be offered in sincerity from a loving heart.
These articles will point out the importance of establishing authority for the way we worship. We certainly do not want our worship to God to be in vain (Matthew 15:7-9). It is our only desire to give glory, honor, and praise to God as we worship and honor him.
